Back from the Country!

I’m back from my weekend in the country. My friend Sid the Pict has a chalet oot by wee towns Cumineston and Garmond. Lots of small toons oot there, some not much more than a group of three or four stone cottages. I spent the weekend drinking coffee and splashing around the clarty dubs… thanks to the Iron Duke my feet remained nice and dry. The Iron Duke, the Duke of Wellington, who stopped Napoleon in his tracks, was also responsible for the crazy rubber boots you can see protecting our feets.
We ran out of heating oil, so we were the great unwashed. It was heaps of fun… like camping. We ate.. meat pies, Sid made a ruby Murray (a curry).
